Well y'all we're almost caught up with life, did we all survive? I will say this year didn't quite start off the way I planned, and those who know me personally know...I'm quite the planner.
First of all, Utah has had the craziest winter in years...so say the locals! Of course the year that I move out here is the year we have a snow-pocalypse *rolls eyes* which I will say isn't terrible...there is nothing quite like watching snow fall..from the comforts of inside the warm apartment in flannel jammies and fuzzy socks! Driving in the snow isn't really bad where I am...bless the souls of those snow plow drivers who worked really hard this year even in May! Yes we had snow in the middle of May!
January was the month that Allie P. came to visit the winter wonderland that is Utah! We had a jam packed weekend, which included The Real Up House, Midway Ice Castles and other Utah things! I picked up Allie P. up from the airport on my lunch, and I warned her that it was supposed to be cold...her initial reaction to stepping outside was "I felt like I had been shot" oh Allie P! We went to this really cool bookstore in Provo, the street art outside was ace! Nights ended up back at my apartment watching musicals like Grease, and chick flicks like 10 Things I Hate About You (rip to Heath Ledger...still not over that) The Midway Ice Castles are a must see! It was snowing when we got up there, so we were bummed we couldn't stay to see the lights at night...but safety first, you know? Temple Square during the winter time...well let's just say there is nothing quite like it!

February was quite the month for me...I wasn't feeling great and one night woke up feeling like I was living in the Arctic Circle...my heater was not broken *blessed* just was running a pretty high fever...which honestly never happens. After and Urgent Care trip, ER Trip, and another Doctor...we finally found that I had pneumonia...honestly I was questioning why I moved here...I didn't have my Mom here to spoil me with soup and warm blankets...instead...I quite literally just slept all day...Y'all never take for granted your parents, because when you live 700 miles from home being sick really sucks!
Also during the month of February, I started watching the internet sensation that was April the Giraffe...don't try and tell me I wasn't living my best life. Before I went to bed, I had to check the giraffe cam, and when I woke up, had to check if she had the baby...I was fully invested! I will neither confirm or deny that I had it up at work playing in the background...boss approved! I was hooked on the Giraffe Cam!

March wasn't nearly as busy for me...#blessed. But I still had a fun adventure! A couple of friends and I decided to do the Holi Festival in Spanish Fork! It was super fun! The atmosphere was really relaxed and while the weather was very stormy while we were there it never rained...until we left...we got lucky!
What is a festival that you would 10/10 recommend?

April, was a month of visitors!! My grandparents, who have never been up to the northern part of Utah came up for a weekend, and I decided to take them to do Utah things...like Temple Square, City Creek Mall, Provo City Temple, Bridal Veil Falls, the Great Salt Lake, and a couple of other pretty cool things. Within a 72 hour time period...it rained, was sunny, super windy, hailed...and then we woke up to a couple of inches of snow! Utah weather everyone! They had a good time, and really liked seeing the mountains!
Then Easter weekend my parents came out to see me! That was really fun! We hiked Ensign Peak (gorgeous views of the Valley) and went up to Park City...also I will say, Park City doesn't quite have the same ring to it without snow covered roofs etc. Sorry, don't hate me:) but nevertheless it was still a fun time:) Also...my brother aka my forever Fatty got his mission call...to drum roll please...MILAN, ITALY!!! The weekend after that Marissa and I decided to do an Earth Day road trip...look out for the next blog post! You won't want to miss it:)
Enjoey those Kakes everyone! Peace and Love!
